Is there scriptures that indicates this? Yes.
Does the general context indicate this? No.
Would it be nice if it did? Yes.

in the referenced scriptures the writer of hebrews says that jesus "sustains all things by the word of his power" and has been "appointed heir of all things".

Just to highlihgt, they aren't actually the same letter. The one on this thread is from 2018 and this one is from 2017. The point is that they don't actually write letters to answer the JW, it's more like an authomatic response like we can find in and FAQ section of many websites.

Governing Body vs Local Elder Body
by Boredposter inshortly before my exit a youngish elder who recently came from brooklyn bethel commented to me how the local elder meetings were like the wild wild west.
according to him in brooklyn there was a very definite way to handle things.
he seemed to imply the brooklyn bethel way was better.. after seeing gb member splaines video about how elders could come to an united decision i was reminded of this.. i had to wonder about this then and i wonder now.

I think the main difference is that when the local elders take a decision that affects negatively one's life is mostly beacuse they are indoctrinated to believe they have God's spirit. When the GB does the same is because they want to mantain power.
We all know there are a few number of "awaken" elders and some people at the world headquarters too. My question is: Do you tink is there anyone out there in the congregations or branches that is Awake but continues to 'make progress' in order to accumulate power? A kind of JW Frank Underwood? (I'm not considering the GB members in this questions)

Are You Proud of Your Country?
by snugglebunny insome people are of the opinion that it doesn't make any sense to be proud of one's nationality because we had nothing to do with where we were born.
the decision wasn't ours.
they opine that it's ludicrous to be proud of our countries' prior achievements if we had no part in those achievements because we weren't even around then.

After realizing politics isn't a "devil" thing and it's not better or worse than religion, I started to analyze myself and find out how I stand concerning politics. What I'm sure so far:
I'm pro democracy
I'm pro free market
I'm pro the laicism of state as much as I'm pro of freedom of religion (yes, I'm against what's happening in Russia)
I'm against laws that make it easy for civils to get guns
and, concerning the topic:
i'm against nationalism.
in my opinion what caused the holocaust wasn't the political position of Germany. This position, indeed, caused the war, but in the war there were two sides killing people, holocaust was genocide and in my opinion this was caused by the nationalism. We are too far in the human history to let the coordinates where we are born dictate who we love or who we hate.

by Sour Grapes inthere are over 8 million jdubs and i would venture a guess that at least 20% to 30% are pimo.
in my opinion, the kingdom hauls are only half full for two reasons....many have left but the majority are pimo and any little excuse will keep them home and they will report their token ghost hours in service.
all it takes to stay home is being tired, too much school homework or i will go next week, no doubt many have taken part-time jobs and the fear of working the second shift and the guilt of missing meetings is gone.
